Annual Financial Statement 2024 of the Oberberg District

The district council, in its meeting on 26.03.2026, approved the 2024 annual financial statement of the Oberbergischer Kreis, audited by the auditing committee, in accordance with § 96 para. 1 of the Municipal Code for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (GO NRW) as amended in the announcement dated 14 July 1994 (GV. NRW. p. 666), last amended by Article 1 of the Act dated 10 July 2025 (GV. NRW. p. 618), in conjunction with § 53 para. 1 of the District Code for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (KrO NRW) as amended in the announcement dated 14 July 1994 (GV. NRW. p. 646), last amended by Article 2 of the Act dated 10 July 2025 (GV. NRW. p. 618). The district administrator was granted unconditional discharge for the 2024 fiscal year in accordance with § 96 para. 1 GO NRW.

The 2024 fiscal year concludes with revenues amounting to €557,313,218.40, expenses amounting to €564,575,682.54, and a result of -€7,262,464.14 with a balance sheet total of €504,064,284.04. The district council has decided to offset the 2024 result with the compensation reserve. These resolutions are hereby publicly announced in accordance with § 96 para. 2 GO NRW. The annual financial statement, as determined by the district council, was reported to the supervisory authority by letter on 27.03.2026.

The audit of the 2024 annual financial statement, consisting of the balance sheet, income and financial statement, and annex, including the bookkeeping and management report for the fiscal year from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2024, was conducted. The audit did not lead to any objections. The management report is consistent with the annual financial statement, overall providing an accurate representation of the assets, liabilities, financial, and income situation of the Oberbergischer Kreis, and accurately presenting the opportunities and risks of future developments. The auditor's certificate, the annual financial statement, and the management report for 2024 are publicly available for inspection until the determination of the following annual financial statement. The final report can be viewed in the administrative building Moltkestraße 42, 14th floor, room 4, in 51643 Gummersbach, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and is available online at obk.de/kreishaushalt.
