Our Tasks

School Administration Matters

The district is the sponsor of three vocational colleges and five special schools with the following tasks:

• Establishment of educational courses

• Ensuring material and spatial equipment

• Student transportation, all-day offerings, lunch catering

• Provision of school social work

• Support of school operations through staff, e.g., secretariat, school social work, maintenance roles

• Processing of BAföG applications for students in full-time educational courses

• Advising applicants

 
Media Center

• Consultation and lending of educational media

 
School Psychological Counseling Center - Support for Families and Schools 

is an independent counseling center of the Oberberg district with the following services:

• Support counseling and individual assistance for elementary school students

• Consultation for teachers of all school types

• Training and supervision for schools and teachers

 
Oberberg Education Office

is the regional office of the Oberberg Education Network

• Networking and supporting local school, extracurricular, and societal educational stakeholders for optimal education landscape design

• Coordination of educational offerings in the region

• Initiation and support of projects in the school and education sector

School psychological counseling center:

• Approximately 950 individual case assistances for an average of 200 students
• Over 300 training sessions, supervisions, crisis interventions, and counseling sessions for teachers

• Contact point for 120 schools and other educational institutions
• Coordination of joint activities with over 100 partners to promote technical and scientific youth development in Oberberg through the platform "zdi-Center investMINT Oberberg"
