Repair of K 52 Bomig-Morkepütz The Real Estate Management Office of the Oberbergischer Kreis informs.

Oberbergischer Kreis. Starting from October 6, 2026, repair works will commence on County Road 52 between the exit of Wiehl-Bomig and beyond the junction to Morkepütz, as reported by the Real Estate Management Office of Oberbergischer Kreis.

The construction will be carried out under a full closure for through traffic. Local traffic will be possible with restrictions, except during milling and asphalt works. An official detour has been set up and can be accessed on the OBK website under the section: “Mobility.” The detour leads from Bomig through the industrial area “Am Verkehrskreuz,” continuing via the Westtangente to Alperbrück, and from there via L 341 to Mühlhausen, and then back to K 52 via K 48 (and vice versa). Access to the Bomig-Ost industrial area is available locally via “Albert-Einstein-Str.” to Alperbrück and vice versa.

After milling off the surface layer, selective deep milling will take place to repair damaged areas. Subsequently, a complete binder and surface layer of asphalt concrete will be applied. Additionally, sections of the existing sidewalk in the Bomig area will be renewed. Existing driveways and junctions will be adjusted to the new roadway, shoulders and existing ditches will be re-profiled, and the existing guardrails will be replaced.

The works are expected to be completed by early November.
