Expansion of district road 13 from Schäferslöh to Kahlenberg The Real Estate Management Office of the Oberbergischer Kreis informs.

Oberbergischer Kreis. Starting October 12, the extensive development of Kreisstraße 13 in the city area of Wipperfürth, between Schäferslöh and Hohenbüchen/Kahlenberg, will begin. This was announced by the Real Estate Management Office of the Oberbergischer Kreis.

The planned development will be carried out in two construction phases. The first phase starts at the Schäferslöh junction and extends to Gardeweg. The second phase begins at the intersection of K 13 with K 30 near Vossebrechen and ends shortly before the junction leading to Kahlenberg at the district border. The entire construction work is expected to be completed by the end of the year, weather permitting.

During this process, approximately 3.5 km of the narrow, heavily damaged roadway will be completely renewed and simultaneously widened to up to 5.0 m. Additionally, to make the road safer, especially during vehicle encounters, the edges of the roadway will be reinforced with bituminous material.

Due to the confined local conditions and in the interest of traffic safety and occupational safety for the on-site construction personnel, the construction process must be carried out under a full closure for through traffic.

The detour for through traffic will be routed for the 1st section via district road 30, state road L284, and federal road B237. For the 2nd section, the detour will be routed via district road 3 of the Märkischer Kreis, state road L284, and district road 30. Residents will be kept informed about the respective restrictions.
