New Weitblick Coordinator for Radevormwald: Kerstin Scheibler volunteers in the volunteer initiative of Oberbergischer Kreis The Raderin takes over the successor of the long-time Weitblick guide Horst Kirschsieper

Oberbergischer Kreis. Kerstin Scheibler is volunteering as the new coordinator of the Weitblick volunteer initiative of Oberbergischer Kreis in Radevormwald. The 65-year-old resident of Radevormwald is succeeding Horst Kirschsieper. He led the Weitblick office for 10 years with great dedication and passion and wants to "slow down" due to age.

"I am pleased that we have gained an engaged successor with Kerstin Scheibler at the Weitblick location in Radevormwald," says Christine Bray, Specialist for Civic Engagement and Volunteering of the Oberbergischer Kreis. "The office remains a point of contact for all citizens of Radevormwald who want to make a difference in the city through volunteering, and we are happy to support them."
Kerstin Scheibler worked as a secretary at the Bergische Universität in Wuppertal. "After retirement no longer feels like 'vacation,' I want to volunteer in and for my hometown. In addition to the Social License project, I look forward to continuing the offerings of the volunteer initiative in Radevormwald."

A special concern remains the voluntary work in refugee aid, which her predecessor Horst Kirschsieper integrated into the Weitblick volunteer initiative and led with great commitment.
"In addition, I am happy about ideas and voluntary projects that citizens in Radevormwald bring to me," says Kerstin Scheibler. "The structures of the Weitblick volunteer initiative are very helpful in this regard. We can help interested parties quickly and easily find a suitable engagement. Furthermore, we can introduce nonprofit projects and look for voluntary assistance,” says Kerstin Scheibler.

Mediation, advice, and information

The new Weitblick coordinator starts on Friday, February 20, 2026. She will maintain the office hours of the Weitblick office of the volunteer initiative every Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM; however, at the new location in the Radevormwald city center, in the House of Encounter Hüxthal at Schlossmacherstraße 2.

"The new Weitblick office there is located directly opposite the old location, so we remain easily accessible. The demand for volunteers in Radevormwald is great. In discussions with Horst Kirschsieper, I know how important a well-functioning network is. I want to continue to expand that. I look forward to meeting people who are looking for a voluntary commitment and want to get information at the new Weitblick office."
