VHS Oberberg showcases photo exhibition of the Jesuit Refugee Service Germany Images convey: "Have Courage! Don't Give Up!"

Oberbergischer Kreis. The VHS Oberberg and the Municipal Integration Center of the Oberbergischer Kreis are presenting the photo exhibition “Be brave! Don't give up!” by the Jesuit Refugee Service Germany. Those interested can visit the small exhibition free of charge during the known service hours at the central location of the VHS Oberberg.

The photos introduce people who, despite war, flight, or illness, have not given up. Ten moving life stories illustrate how hope arises and integration can succeed. The large-format photographs and interviews aim to inspire courage: They show how much is possible when people stand by one another and believe in themselves. Each story is an example of the importance of facing life's challenges.

The photo exhibition invites visitors to get to know the stories of brave individuals and to take their message with them: “Be brave! Don't give up!”

The exhibition will be on display until February 27, 2026 at the VHS Oberberg, Mühlenbergweg 3 in Gummersbach-Niederseßmar.

If photos for download are provided exclusively for media representatives/press, all usage rights (cf. §§ 31 ff. UrhG) according to § 43 UrhG lie with the Oberbergischer Kreis. For reporting purposes, the media are granted a simple usage right according to § 31 Abs. 2 UrhG. When publishing, the image rights specified in the press release must be cited (corresponds to IPTC field no. 110). The additional mention of a natural person as the author according to § 13 sentence 2 UrhG is waived, as this regulation is overridden by the application of § 43 UrhG.
