28th Carnival Dignitaries' Meeting at Schloss Homburg District Administrator Klaus Grootens honors the princely couples and triumvirates of Oberberg

Oberbergischer Kreis. District Administrator Klaus Grootens welcomed the carnival dignitaries of Oberberg at Schloss Homburg. The princely couples and triumvirates presented themselves splendidly costumed with cheerful entourages and introduced their session mottos. This 28th carnival dignitaries' reception was Klaus Grootens' first in his role as the (new) District Administrator. The festive delegation of a total of 18 carnival societies once again brought exuberant atmosphere to the Neue Orangerie and provided insights into their carnival programs, which await the carnival enthusiasts in the Oberberg strongholds this year.

Good tradition continued: 28th reception of the Oberberg carnival delegation

With the carnival dignitaries' reception - always held one week before Weiberfastnacht - District Administrator Klaus Grootens once again acknowledged the great voluntary commitment of the carnivalists in the Oberberg district:
"Here comes the concentrated carnival power of Oberberg together. Carnival in Oberberg has a very high-quality standard: Driven by associations. Driven by volunteers. Driven by people who invest their free time so that others can have joy. Without this commitment, there would be no carnival in the Oberberg district. Carnival is community. Carnival is encounter. Or as our Oberberg humorist 'Dä Tuppes vum Land' puts it: the most beautiful peace movement in the world."

The festive rulers, in turn, expressed their gratitude with a colorful stage program for the "fantastic reception," moderated by Alex Pesch (Radio Berg) and District Administrator Klaus Grootens.
During the awarding of the numerous carnival medals of the Oberberg district, they were supported by the new deputy district administrator Heidrun Schmeis-Noack as well as the deputy district administrators Harald Langusch and Jürgen Fischer.
The Oberberg carnival enthusiasts celebrated joyfully until the late hours and thanked for the "once again excellent organization" of this 28th carnival dignitaries' meeting of the Oberberg district.

"We are all one!"

How strong the solidarity of the carnival enthusiasts in the Oberberg district is was evident during the grand finale: The dignitaries gathered closely and joined in the session song of the Denklingen Carnival Club "We are all one!" - the best prerequisite for the upcoming merry days in the strongholds of Oberberg Carnival.
