Good Response to Job Fair LateNightEdition New format convinces professionals and companies

Oberbergischer Kreis. The new format of "Jobs in Oberberg - LateNightEdition" has convinced: for the first time on a weekday and after 5:00 p.m., around 1,500 interested professionals, returnees, and career changers informed themselves about their career development opportunities at the Oberberg job fair.
Around 50 companies from the Oberberg region used the fair in Hall 32 to personally present their job openings and engage directly with applicants. Additional offerings such as free application photos and resume coaching were very well received by visitors; likewise, the HR talk with Oberberg companies about application processes and hiring procedures.
The organizers of the job fair are: The Economic Development Agency of the Oberberg District, the Employment Agency Gummersbach, the Jobcenter Oberberg, and the Regional Agency Region Cologne. 

Diverse offerings on applications, jobs, and careers

"This year, the Job Fair LateNightEdition was designed to be even more accessible and has once again proven to be an ideal platform for professionals and companies. Many of the attendees gathered information about basic entry opportunities and also directly discussed specific job openings. The Oberberg job fair provided the best conditions for employees and HR managers to get to know each other personally and convince one another. This helps ensure that qualified professionals and young talent remain in the Oberberg district, thereby strengthening the economy in our region," says District Administrator Klaus Grootens.  

From the side of employers, all sectors were represented, such as mechanical engineering, plastics technology, electrical engineering, healthcare, and gastronomy, and the Oberberg District also presented itself as a diverse and attractive employer. 

Utilizing professional potentials - filling open positions 

"We are delighted that so many companies and applicants from the Oberberg region took advantage of the job fair to gather comprehensive information, make new contacts, and seize opportunities for a successful future," says Frank Herhaus, Head of Planning, Regional Development, Environment, and Economic Development. "The exhibiting employers were able to authentically convey what sets their companies apart, and visitors to the job fair gained immediate insights into potential job opportunities."
