Career paths in administration and crafts
David Strauß from the personnel development department of the Oberbergischer Kreis highlighted the diverse activities within the district administration, showcasing various career paths and dynamic areas of responsibility: "Public service offers far more than many think!" David Strauß presented areas such as environmental protection, youth welfare, regional development, culture, and health, where trainees within the district administration are active. He also provided information about dual study programs available in the district administration.
During this information event, participating parents also gained insights into various craft professions—directly from the owner of a painting business, to get a concrete picture of the training opportunities there. Maik Hensel from the company F. Bondke GmbH introduced parents to the multifaceted world of crafts: practical, lively, and tailored directly to the target audience. His message: "Be brave, see opportunities, and follow your own path!"
There are around 130 different apprenticeship professions in crafts: from plant mechanics for sanitary, heating, and air-conditioning technology, photographers, sales specialists, media technologists, to two-wheeler mechatronics technicians. Modern technology, creative challenges, teamwork, and hands-on work with materials await trainees.

For the second time, the format was opened for both parents and children.
