Bathing site “Zornige Ameise” temporarily closed Bathing at the other three bathing sites of the Bever Dam is possible.

Oberbergischer Kreis. The Oberbergischer Kreis points out that the official bathing site „Zornige Ameise“ at the Bever Dam is closed until further notice.

The reason for the closure is a fire incident in the immediate vicinity of the bathing site yesterday. Due to firefighting efforts and possible entry of residues into the water, contamination and impairment of water quality cannot currently be ruled out.

To protect the health of bathers, the bathing site has therefore been closed as a precaution. The examination of water samples has been initiated. Information will be provided as soon as the bathing site can be reopened.

The Oberbergischer Kreis asks all citizens to observe the closure and to refrain from using the area for bathing until further notice.
