Animal Safari at Schloss Homburg Guided tour and photo workshop with photographers Köpcke and Weinhold.

To conclude the current special exhibition „MECHANICAL ANIMAL WORLD meets Natural History“ at Schloss Homburg, visitors can look forward to a program centered around creative photography on Sunday, May 31, 2026. The two photographers Sebastian Köpcke and Volker Weinhold will be personally present all day. At 1 PM, they invite attendees to join a guided tour through the exhibition, providing fascinating insights into their work.

Between 3 PM and 5 PM, interested individuals will also have the opportunity to get creative themselves in an open photo workshop. Using their own camera or smartphone, participants can photograph historical tin animals on the castle grounds. Tin toys will be available but can also be brought along. The two professional photographers will share practical tips and tricks on image composition and proper staging.

The Berlin-based photographers are known for showcasing historical objects in unusual and imaginative ways. For their photographic safari, they have playfully placed numerous historical tin animals in natural environments and „observed“ them through their camera. Each animal displays its own unique character.

In addition to more than 30 large-format photographs, the exhibition also features a variety of historical tin animals waiting to be discovered.
