Bathing area "Angry Ant" reopened The official bathing area "Angry Ant" at the Bevertalsperre is now open for swimming again.

Oberbergischer Kreis. The water samples examined by the Wupperverband showed no indication of significant contamination or persistent impairment of water quality in the area of the bathing site. Therefore, there are currently no concerns about using the area for swimming.

The bathing site was precautionarily closed after a fire incident in the immediate vicinity to rule out potential contamination and impairment of water quality.

Until the fire site can be cleared, an oil barrier remains installed in the water as a precautionary measure. Swimming in the area of the oil barrier is prohibited until the work is completed. Further restrictions on the bathing area may occur. Visitors are therefore advised to be attentive on-site.
