US student group visited the district hall High school graduates are touring the Oberbergischer Kreis

Oberbergischer Kreis. A US student group was also a guest at the district administration building during their exchange trip in the region. Deputy District Administrator Jürgen Fischer welcomed the high school graduates. The Kaufmännische Berufskolleg Oberberg in Gummersbach organized the meeting. The young Americans come from the state of Ohio and are taught at the Vantage Career Center in Van Wert.

They are currently traveling as part of a "German Language" promotion program and are staying with host families in the Oberbergischer Kreis. The exchange with US students at the Kaufmännisches Berufskolleg Oberberg has already been taking place for five years, says teacher Markus Pempe. Deputy District Administrator Jürgen Fischer informed the young adults about the Oberbergischer Kreis as well as the tasks and structures of the district administration. In addition to Gummersbach, the group also visited the nature adventure park Panabora in Waldbröl and the city of Cologne.
