Construction work on K 52 between Wiehl-Oberbantenberg and Bomig begins Renovation starts on Monday, June 29, 2026

Oberbergischer Kreis. Starting next Monday, June 29, 2026, construction work for the repair of Kreisstraße 52 will begin. The section between the exit of Oberbantenberg (Oststraße) towards Bomig will be renovated up to just before the junction "Am Verkehrskreuz".

During the construction work, K 52 will be completely closed in this section. Residents will be able to access the area with restrictions, except during milling and asphalt works. The construction is expected to be completed by mid-July 2026.

A regional detour will be set up via the L 321. It runs from Oberbantenberg (Oberbantenberger Straße) towards Bielstein, further along the L 336 (Bielsteiner Straße – Kehlinghausen) and the L 305 (Westtangente) to the access road „Am Verkehrskreuz“ of the Bomig industrial area.

First, the top layer of the roadway will be milled off and replaced with an asphalt base course. Subsequently, a full-surface top layer made of asphalt concrete will be installed. Additionally, sections of the existing sidewalk between the two localities will be renewed. The existing driveways and junctions will be adapted to the new roadway, as will shoulders and existing ditches.
