District, municipalities, and the Bergisches Energy and Resource Center offer free energy consultations Tips for citizens on modernization measures and savings potential

Oberbergischer Kreis. The Oberbergischer Kreis, together with the Bergisches Energy and Resource Center and participating municipalities, invites citizens to free energy consulting sessions in the town halls of the participating municipalities.

The offer is aimed at citizens who own a private house or condominium, use it privately, and want to receive non-binding information on energy modernization measures and savings potential.

The consultations will take place from September to November 2026 in the town halls of the participating municipalities.

They will be conducted by certified energy consultants from the network of the Bergisches Energy and Resource Center, are manufacturer-independent, and free of charge for participants.

Due to the limited number of slots, the organizers recommend registering early. Interested parties who cannot attend their assigned consultation appointment are asked to notify in advance so that the slot can be reassigned.

Participants should inform themselves about their current electricity and heating costs, for example, through annual bills for electricity and gas, heating oil, or pellet costs, and are encouraged to bring energy certificates or pictures of their residential building.

The goal of the energy consultation is to save electricity or heating energy and thereby reduce costs. The energy consultation provides a low-threshold and neutral introduction to the topic of energy efficiency, aiming to provide initial professional orientation and support in modernization decisions.

The focus is on questions about heating and heat supply, the use of solar energy, possible insulation measures on and in the building, saving electricity in the household, as well as funding opportunities for modernization and renovations.

The offer is aimed at citizens from the municipality of Waldbröl, the municipality of Reichshof, the city of Wiehl, the city of Bergneustadt, the municipality of Morsbach, the city of Hückeswagen, the city of Radevormwald, the municipality of Lindlar, and the municipality of Marienheide.
