IT Disruption: Service restrictions in the district administration may still be possible Visitors – especially to the Road Traffic Office – are asked to check the current status on www.obk.de before their appointment

Oberbergischer Kreis. The current restrictions due to an IT disruption in parts of the district administration, particularly affect visitors to the Road Traffic Office.

Citizens who have an appointment scheduled there tomorrow (Tuesday, 11/08/2026) should check the current status on the website www.obk.de in advance.

People whose appointments at the Road Traffic Office today (Monday, 10/08/2026) were canceled due to the disruption can visit the Road Traffic Office tomorrow (Tuesday, 11/08/2026) without an appointment. Proof of the original appointment is required. These individuals should also check www.obk.de for the latest updates beforehand. Possible waiting times should be anticipated.

Conducting online services via the i-Kfz portal at www.obk.de/ikfz is currently possible!

The responsible departments are working diligently to resolve the disruption as quickly as possible. The cause of the connectivity issues is currently believed to be a defective directional antenna, which needs to be repaired or replaced. The Oberbergischer Kreis will inform once normal operations can resume.
