Data Protection in Schools

The official Data Protection Officer (bDSB) offers support to teachers and school principals at schools in the Oberberg district who process personal data (teacher and student data, etc.). In daily work, various laws, regulations, decrees, and administrative instructions on data protection are not always at the forefront but still need to be observed.

As a contact person for all questions regarding data protection and data protection organization, the bDSB provides information and advice. This includes, for example:

• Regulations for processing personal data on official devices and private PCs,

• Creation and updating of processing directories,

• Consultation and participation in the creation of security concepts,

• Data protection-compliant use of digital teaching and learning materials as well as digital communication tools

Additionally, the bDSB monitors compliance with data protection regulations.

Affected legal guardians, students, and teachers can also contact the bDSB for schools with questions and complaints regarding the protection of their personal data.

Data Transmission During School Transfers

The transmission of personal data is subject to special regulations during school transfers. Teachers can find an overview in the Internal Section indicating which data of students may be transferred under which conditions during a school transfer.
