Separation and divorce counseling
Sometimes a separation or divorce does not go peacefully. Sometimes, after a separation or divorce, one is not able to make decisions for the child or children.
At this point, separation and divorce counseling can help. This type of support is about finding a solution for your child or children together as parents (yes, not easy, but doable!).
Especially now, when the separation or divorce is still fresh, emotions can be "all over the place" and, in addition to dealing with conflicts, you also need to find a solution for your child or children.
The child is the focus of this counseling.
Together with a counselor, we consider which solutions are helpful for the child/children in the following areas:

Arranging visitation agreements between the parent not living in the household

Reaching agreements between you as parents

Finding the appropriate living arrangement for your child or children
Additionally, you will receive counseling on individual topics.

You can receive counseling, among other things, at the following counseling centers. These centers provide support to families throughout the Oberberg district.
The specialists of the General Social Service (ASD) are also available to provide advice and support on separation and divorce issues.
If you have concerns about the interaction between your child and the other parent, you have the option to receive advice on supervised visitation. Please contact the ASD for this purpose.
The General Social Service of the Oberberg district is responsible for the municipalities of Bergneustadt, Engelskirchen, Hückeswagen, Lindlar, Marienheide, Morsbach, Nümbrecht, Reichshof, and Waldbröl.
The municipalities of Gummersbach, Wiehl, Radevormwald, and Wipperfürth have their own youth offices.
