Pyrotechnics

1. Certificate of non-objection for participation in the basic course on handling explosive materials (propellant powder); subject to fees (currently 70 euros)

2. State permit for the acquisition and handling of explosives for non-commercial purposes (propellant powder and pyrotechnics); valid for five years; subject to fees (currently between 100 and 300 euros)

Required documents

• Application for a certificate of non-objection with proof of need

• Questionnaire and photos of the residual quantity storage facility

• If applicable, weapon possession card

• For first issuance: Proof of specialized training course

• For renewal: previous permit

• Personal appearance is required, scheduling an appointment is recommended!

Requirements for permit issuance:

• At least 21 years old (exceptions possible)

• Residence in the Oberbergischer Kreis

• Reliability in accordance with the Explosives Act (see § 8 a for further details)

• Personal suitability

• Successful completion of a specialized training course (only for the first permit application)

• Written application for issuance of a certificate of non-objection or a permit (At least three months before the expiration of a previous permit!)
