STADTRADELN 2026: District administration staff collected kilometers on the home stretch At the final weekend of the STADTRADELN campaign 2026, a team of colleagues from the district administration met for a bike tour.

Oberbergischer Kreis. Not only for climate protection but also for their own health: under this premise, employees of the district administration gathered for a bike ride and collected kilometers at the end of the nationwide CYCLING CAMPAIGN (May 25 - June 14, 2026). As part of the corporate health promotion program, the district administration offered the joint bike ride over the weekend, coinciding with the conclusion of the CYCLING CAMPAIGN competition, in which the Oberberg District and Oberberg municipalities participated again this year with more than 3,400 cyclists in 327 teams.

A "core group" of five colleagues, led by the Deputy District Administrator Stefan Heße, gathered with rain gear at the district office in Gummersbach, defying the unpredictable weather. The team cycled together through Reininghausen, Becke, Frömmersbach, Unnenberg to the lakeside path of the Genkeltalsperre. After a short break, they returned via Lantenbach, Erlenhagen, and Bernberg to the district office.
Alongside 115 cycling kilometers for the STADTRADELN competition, the district administration team enjoyed a pleasant outing with fresh air and exercise for their health.
