Residential Care

If home care and/or day care in a semi-residential facility are not sufficient to meet individual care needs, there is the option of care in a fully residential facility.

If the income and assets of the person in need of care are insufficient, they will receive the required and appropriate care services as part of "Assistance for Care in Facilities" through the Department of Social Affairs of the Oberberg District.

Cost coverage within the framework of social assistance is possible with regard to assets if these do not exceed €10,000.00 for single persons and €20,000.00 jointly for spouses or life partners.

Applications can be submitted in writing or in person at the Social Office of the Oberberg District or the social offices of the cities and municipalities where the person in need of care had their usual residence before being admitted to a home. A care consultant is also available there for questions and information.

Important: For persons with care level 2 - regardless of age - and for persons with care level 3 up to the age of 80, a statement from the senior and care advisory service is mandatory for the potential assumption of costs for a fully residential care facility/care community. This mandatory care consultation must be obtained prior to moving into the care facility.

When applying, proof of the income and asset situation of the person in need of care, if applicable care directives or powers of attorney, as well as the name and address of liable relatives must be presented.
