Information from the Contaminated Site Suspected Areas Register

Whether a property is free of contaminated sites is important when purchasing a property, building, or planning a change in use. Even before a construction project, it is useful to know whether contaminated soil excavation may occur. Additional costs may arise for its disposal. Written information from the Contaminated Site Suspected Areas Register of the Oberbergischer Kreis is available to property owners, prospective buyers, builders, as well as authorized or commissioned individuals from the Lower Soil Protection Authority.

Handling of Notifications for Broadband Cabling

A good broadband supply is an important location factor for the Oberbergischer Kreis - for the population and the economy alike. Therefore, broadband expansion is among the key objectives of the Kreis. These include:

• Sustainably optimizing the economic location of Oberberg.

• Improving residential and living quality.

• Expanding infrastructure.

Before broadband cables are laid, the Lower Soil Protection Authority examines whether the planned routes touch or cross contaminated site areas or suspected contaminated site areas.

For this, the project sponsor must submit the notification of broadband cabling to the Lower Soil Protection Authority along with an excerpt from the German Base Map at a scale of 1:10,000. The examination area must not exceed the area of a municipality.

Costs

Fees are charged for information from the Contaminated Site Suspected Areas Register. The fees are based on the provisions according to fee item 4.5 of the General Administrative Fee Ordinance NRW (AVerwGebO NRW).

The amount of fees depends on the administrative or time effort. After processing, you will receive a fee notice. The processing time is a maximum of 4 weeks.
